A downloadable game

Hi, you can call me Monke!

This is my Maze game. It has 9 levels (currently, maybe someday I'll make the remaining one) with new features and a variety of obstacles. The game is also translated into Italian, and both languages also have a Dark Mode file, that's why there are 4 files in the zip folder.

It's a project I've been working on occasionally, with big breaks, in the past few years.

The music is all composed by me (it was my first attempt at making music, and I used Musescore).

Feedback would be appreciated in the comments, especially regarding how you find the difficulty scaling, if you've encountered any bugs, or even ideas for obstacles and level names. All stuff that can improve the game. So if you want, let me know your thoughts ^_^

P.S. Please, if you try it, give feedback (see paragraph above)

P.P.S. NOTE: The files may give you a warning because of macros or OLE actions

P.P.P.S. The game can be played using mouse or touchpad, but mouse is highly recommended

Install instructions

Just unzip the "Maze" folder with all the files in your Windows (C:) folder and run one of the .ppsm files. *

Do NOT rename the files or the folder.

Both of these measures ensure you can successfully change language and toggle light/dark mode, because the hyperlinks use the files' names.

IF IT STILL DOESN'T WORK: Select every .ppsm file, right click, "Properties", and "Unblock".

* Previously, with the files in the Desktop, you couldn't change mode and language because the file paths in the hyperlinks contained the user folder name. That is now solved by having a folder in  C: (which is located before the user folder, and I think is the same in all languages and windows versions) with all the files inside (you can't move files directly in C: without admin permissions). Unless the folder or the files are renamed, it should be possible to change language and mode fom the game's main menu.

The game is kinda nice and cool but.. In lvl 2 that big moving thing at start of the maze, well not only it. All moving parts dont have accuarate hitboxxes, i didnt touch it but i lost.

I checked whether it had an invisible outline or not, and it doesn't, so I'm afraid there's no way to fix that. I'd recommend staying as far away from the moving rectangle as possible when passing through that section to be as safe as possible.

In my experience hitboxes are ok most of the time, and if they're weird I guess it's because of the animations.

Sometimes it isn't the hitbox from the obstacles, but the cursor instead (so cursor size also affect this

Actually the size of your cursor doesn't matter.
